Post-doctorants ILP actuels

#Alessandro Manzotti

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2017, and I joined the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris in October 2017 as a Lagrange post-doctoral fellow of the ILP LabEx. Broadly my research is focused on cosmology, mainly on Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropies, large-scale structures, and cosmological data analysis to constrain properties of the early and recent Universe. Lately, as a South Pole Telescope team member, I have been working mainly on "de-lensing". This consists in removing or characterizing the lensing effect of large-scale structures on the measured CMB polarization data. Delensing is necessary to constrain the amplitude of the primordial gravitational waves being the lensing signal bigger than the desired primordial one at all scales. I am also working on advanced statistical techniques like approximate Bayesian computation and deep learning and their applications to cosmological data.
