#Ayan Mitra

After completing my masters degree in Cosmology from Sussex University in 2012 I joined the LPNHE group in Paris at UPMC - University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI) for my PhD in 2013 January, to work in the SNLS collaboration. I am being funded by the ILP.

My project in masters degree was theoretical where I worked with Professor Andrew Liddle on “quintessetational cosmology” but at present my work is centered more around observational cosmology. I am working under Professor Delphine Hardin on Gravitational Lensing with SNe type Ia in the SNLS.

My interests include weak gravitational lensing, dark matter, SNe cosmology. The final result of my thesis will be the production of the lensing signal detection result on the full SNLS-5 SNe sample.
